Still listening to online lectures? I use TalkKang
A new mobile online lecture service has emerged that combines the strengths of one-person media with internet lectures (online lectures) to increase fun and learning effectiveness. Edutech specialist Anarchy (CEO Mun Hoan Ahn) announced on the 22nd that it has developed 'TalkKang', a mobile online lecture platform and service based on voluntary participation of instructors and students, and will operate it from next month.
'TalkKang' is a next-generation education platform that combines live online lectures with the latest technology trends such as one-person media, interactive content, and big data. It provides various specialized functions such as real-time lectures and problem solving, checking correct/incorrect answer rates and my ranking, lecture empathy chat, and VOD services for important content.
Instructors create differentiated lecture content like one-person creators using advanced electronic whiteboards, dashboards, etc., and broadcast it. They can understand student reactions and correct/incorrect answer rates in real time and optimize lecture content according to the situation. Students can conveniently listen to live lectures anytime, anywhere using mobile devices such as smartphones and smart pads. They can immediately understand the content emphasized by the instructor, their correct and incorrect answers, and overall ranking, which increases learning effectiveness and sense of achievement.
'Real-time answer rate sharing' and 'lecture empathy icons' are specialized functions unique to TalkKang. It provides information on the correct/incorrect answer rates of all students and overall rankings for problem solving to show where my skills stand. Through empathy icons, students can express their opinions about lecture content such as 'like' or 'boring', and about problem solving such as 'I don't know' or 'I understand'.
It is equipped with voice recognition lecture support software (SW) to automatically display subtitles for content emphasized by instructors or important problems. Students who missed live lectures can use the curation VOD player function to automatically edit and view only the emphasized content and parts that students empathized with.
CEO Mun Hoan Ahn said, "We want to go beyond the limitations of existing online lectures that have relied on one or two star instructors, keeping pace with the era of real-time communicating one-person media," and "Students can voluntarily choose unique and interesting lecture content, and instructors can create their own differentiated business opportunities as educational creators."
